Prices for bouquets of flowers soared in Russia before September 1

Before September 1, the price of flowers rose sharply in Russia. Their prices increased by 17%, testify Evotor data. The researchers analyzed the average cost of a bouquet in the regions of our country from August 1 to 20.

The average price of a traditional gift for teachers in Russia was 1,526 rubles. For comparison, in 2022, a flower arrangement for a teacher cost parents 1219 rubles, however, the researchers point out that sales were then analyzed for two days – August 31 and September 1.

The most expensive options for flower gifts are purchased by residents of the Russian capital, and the cheapest accessories of this type are preferred by citizens in Perm. For comparison, last year the most expensive bouquets for Knowledge Day were bought in Primorye, which displaced Moscow, the undisputed leader in 2021, from the first place.

Analysts have found that, on average, Muscovites paid 2,142 rubles for bouquets in August, while residents of Perm paid almost half as much, 1,105 rubles. The price of a flower arrangement for a teacher in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug was 2,077 rubles. In St. Petersburg, parents paid 1684 rubles for a bouquet for a teacher of their children. Above the average in Russia for flower arrangements paid in the Krasnodar Territory (1952 rubles) and the Irkutsk Region (1936 rubles). Significantly lower than the average for bouquets, the Russians gave in the Voronezh region (1302 rubles) and in the Chelyabinsk region (1274 rubles).

Analysts point out that in three years the price of a bouquet has grown by one and a half times: in 2021, a bouquet cost 1,096 rubles, in 2022 it cost an average of 984 rubles, and in 2023 its price reached 1,526 rubles.

Earlier, analysts at CloudPayments reported that train tickets became the leaders in consumer demand in the spring. Online purchases in this segment grew by 133% compared to the same period last year. The number of transactions also increased by 267%. True, the average spending of Russians on railway tickets decreased by 36% – from 7,145 rubles to 4,548 rubles. Clothing and accessories are second in popularity. The share of online turnover in the spring of 2023 increased by 105% in this category of goods, and the number of transactions increased by 90% compared to the same season in 2022. It is curious that compatriots have become more active in buying watches and jewelry: the share of online turnover in this segment soared by 86% this spring.
