Star guests came to support Elizaveta Ivanovna: General Secretary of the VFV Alexander Yaremenko, General Director of the Performing Forward publishing house Lina Baryshnikova and volleyball friends: Ekaterina Gamova, Lyubov Sokolova, Irina Uyutova, Lesya Makhno, Elizaveta Tishchenko, Elena Plotnikova, Tatyana Gracheva, Inessa Korkmaz. The evening was hosted by Match TV commentators Roman Skvortsov and Taras Timoshenko.
At the presentation, Elizaveta read several excerpts from the book to “live” musical accompaniment in the format of melodeclamation (guitar – Roman Ershov, vocals – Violetta Venser). The most emotional performance by Elizabeth, which caused a storm of applause from the audience, was an excerpt about the incredible hit of the women’s volleyball team at the 1996 Olympics.
The venerable commentators staged a prize draw. The participants had to answer questions regarding the volleyball career of Elizaveta Bracht-Tishchenko. The award was: a blanket from the VFV, the book “Train like a champion. Classic and beach volleyball”, and a real World Cup 2022 volleyball, which was supposed to be held in Russia. Before the final part of the evening (the signing of the book), the guests asked questions to the author, and if it were not necessary to “round off” by the closing of the store, the conversation would have dragged on until midnight.
Two hours of presentation flew by. It all ended with an autograph session, and the queue of those wishing to receive the coveted painting from Elizaveta Bracht-Tishchenko on her book “The Ball over the Net” stretched over two halls of the Biblio-Globus bookstore.
