Preparations for the Day of secondary vocational education are being completed

On Sunday, October 2, colleges in the capital will celebrate the Day of Secondary Vocational Education. As part of the holiday, about three hundred different events will take place – master classes, quests, excursions, round tables, exhibitions.

According to Alexander Tverskoy, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Education and Science, the capital’s vocational education system is constantly adapting to the needs of the city’s economy and major employers.

– Educational programs are being updated and workshops are being equipped. Employers invite students from Moscow colleges to practice already during their studies, so the guys are graduating as experienced specialists, the official specified.

According to the department, about 200 professions and specialties can be mastered in its subordinate institutions of secondary vocational education. The areas of training are very different, ranging from now popular IT specialties to more mundane ones, such as cooking and confectionery, construction and housing and communal services, mechanical engineering and instrumentation, transport, education, electronics, security, and light industry.

The College of Architecture, Design and Reengineering No. 26 will host master classes on working with lasers, prototyping and painting a plaster bas-relief for everyone.

Citizens will learn how to cook Ossetian pies with potatoes and cheese, Pignolata dessert and handmade sweets at the Service Industry College No. 3.

The Krasin Moscow College of Creative Industries, which trains publishers, designers, artists and other creative professionals, will host a presentation of the didactic game “Profession Machine”.

The Carl Faberge College, which trains future jewelers, costume designers and other sought-after professionals, invites you to the Success Story event.
