In Yekaterinburg, preparations have begun for the construction of the second stage of the Datsyuk Arena, which will be built at the Yunost stadium. This was announced by the head of the city Alexey Orlov.
According to him, the old stands have already been dismantled, preparations are underway for constructing a foundation pit and laying networks. Concrete pouring should begin in February, and a construction crane will appear in March.
“A multifunctional complex of 9 thousand square meters will appear here with its own canteen and dormitory for athletes,” wrote Alexey Orlov in his telegram channel. “One of the sources of funding for the project is a grant of 100 million rubles from the President of Russia, which was received by the amateur team “SV Metal” for winning the Night Hockey League tournament.”
The head of the city noted that hockey is very popular in Yekaterinburg. Residents of the city support HC Avtomobilist, support amateur teams, and play hockey themselves. At the moment, one and a half thousand young hockey players are studying in five schools.
MK-Ural previously wrote that in September 2023, a decision was made to allocate 350 million rubles in the form of a subsidy for the construction of the second stage of the Datsyuk Arena in Yekaterinburg. The corresponding resolution was adopted on September 14 at a meeting of the regional cabinet of ministers.
They will allocate 50 million rubles in 2023, 250 million rubles in 2024 and 50 million rubles in 2025 for the construction of the second stage of the Datsyuk Arena sports complex in Yekaterinburg.
