About 800 amateur athletes took part in large-scale competitions among Rosneft employees to pass the standards of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” (GTO). They presented 71 subsidiaries and the central management apparatus of the company.
The oil industry competition was held for the second time. Last year, about 600 employees from 53 subsidiaries took part, and 460 people passed the standards of the GTO complex for gold, silver and bronze badges.
This year the competition lasted two days. The athletes demonstrated their strength, agility and endurance while passing the GTO standards in 10 disciplines: running over various distances, kettlebell snatch, long jump, pull-ups, push-ups, abs and shooting.
Those who wished could try their hand at functional all-around events. On the first day, teams of three (2 men and 1 woman) completed 6 tests: rowing, pull-ups, shuttle running, push-ups, kettlebell push and team squats, and on the second day they competed for victory in the 8000-meter mixed relay and the game “ Sniper”.
In the all-around in the age category of 50–59 years old, the winner was the Uvatneftegaz team, in the categories of 40–49 years old and 30–39 years old – the Bashneft-Dobycha team, and the first place in the category 18–29 years old was won by the Komsomolsky Oil Refinery team. . Teams from the Otradnensky Gas Processing Plant, Udmurtneft, RN-Vankor and the Tyumen Petroleum Research Center took second place. Third place was taken by the teams of the Syzran Oil Refinery, the Angarsk Petrochemical Company, the Tyumen Petroleum Research Center and Uvatneftegaz.
At the solemn ceremony, the prize-winners were awarded diplomas, cups and certificates. The pilot of the LADA Sport ROSNEFT team Ivan Chubarov took part in the award ceremony.
