Preparation of schoolchildren and students for the International Financial Security Olympiad has begun

Schools and colleges have launched the All-Russian Financial Security Lessons, which are a tool to prepare young people for the annual International Financial Security Olympiad.

This year schoolchildren and students from 15 countries will take part in the Olympiad. According to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, for Russian schoolchildren, winning the Olympiad is a great chance to fulfill their dream and enter a specialized university without exams, for college students to also enter specialized universities without exams, and for the state to get professionals in the economy in the future and the financial sector.

Registration for the qualifying round of the Olympiad will open on April 17. As part of the preparation for the intellectual competition, schools and colleges began to conduct lessons on financial security on the Internet. The children are told how personal data is created and protected, how to maintain digital hygiene on the Internet, why everyone needs digital literacy now, and what to do if digital data has been leaked to the Web. The finals of the International Financial Security Olympiad will be held in the fall at the Sirius Educational Center in Sochi.

Also these days a series of events to improve financial literacy for Moscow schoolchildren, their parents and teachers has started. On March 27, the Moscow Center for the Quality of Education will host Financial Literacy Day for Children and Youth. Lectures, exhibitions, master classes, business games, individual consultations of the employees of the Federal Tax Service for the city of Moscow will be held for the participants of the event.

Guests of the event will learn a lot about how to manage personal finances more efficiently and safely.

The events are held jointly with the Department of Education and Science of Moscow, the Central Federal District of the Bank of Russia, the Federal Tax Service for the city of Moscow.
