Power supply at Zaporozhye NPP switched to diesel generators

The Telegram channel of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant reported that due to the shutdown of the last high-voltage line, the station is currently left without external power supply.

“Dnipropetrovsk Zaporizhzhya NPP has completely lost external power supply as a result of the shutdown of the 750 kilovolt high-voltage line. Now the station receives power only from diesel generators,” the Telegram channel noted.

It is clarified that the reasons for the disconnection of the line are currently being established. The radiation background is normal in the sanitary protection zone, at the NPP site and in the observation zone.
