The Bahamas warned of mass killings of tourists
The US Embassy in the Bahamas has issued a warning about the risks associated with traveling to the resort due to a series of murders of tourists. It is noted that since the beginning of 2024, 18 murders have been recorded in the capital of the islands, Nassau.
Travelers from different countries have become victims of local criminal gangs. The embassy warned that the killings also took place during the day on the streets of the city.
Diplomats recommended special caution regarding security in the eastern part of the city of Nassau.
Recently, there have also been cases of shark attacks on tourists during scuba diving in the Bahamas. A ten-year-old boy was injured and a German tourist went missing.
