About 600 Russian schools have partially suspended the educational process due to the difficult situation with influenza and SARS. This was announced by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.
As the official said during a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the government, 12,662 classes in Russian schools have now gone into quarantine.
“The educational process has been partially suspended,” Popova stated, adding that quarantines due to the illness of ARVI students have shown their effectiveness in preventing the spread of diseases. – These measures will continue.
Recall that until 2020, quarantine in schools during the school year was introduced only in case of detection of particularly dangerous diseases. With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, this type of SARS was also included in the list of socially dangerous. Protocols were developed for the quarantine of classes and schools. In addition, frequent interruptions of the educational process due to outbreaks of SARS became possible also due to the development of distance learning procedures.
