Under the leadership of coach Irina Bastrykina, the Pomorie national team has 21 gold, 15 silver and 9 bronze medals.
“Maxim Ponomarev and Yaroslav Tugarinov won gold in personal performances in three disciplines at once,” said Irina Bastrykina. – It is worth noting the team of juniors 15–17 years old, which included two of our athletes: Maria Belova and Sofia Bedrina. In the final of the team heng, the girls beat the first team of the Russian team.
The winners of the World Cup were Gleb Ponomarev, Pavel Zelenov, Darina Letovaltseva, Maxim Ponomarev, Yaroslav Tugarinov, Maria Belova, Egor Chubunov, Sofia Bedrina, Alexander Gubanov.
Deputy Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Sergei Pivkov emphasized that taekwondo is a popular sport in the Arkhangelsk Region, with about 1,000 people officially practicing it.
“Thanks to the participation of our athletes in various international competitions with strong competitors from all over the world, the level of taekwondo players in the Arkhangelsk region is growing,” noted Sergei Pivkov. – In addition, with the support of the regional government, many competitions at the local, regional and interregional levels are held in the region.
And this year, Arkhangelsk hosted athletes from the Northwestern Federal District for competitions for the 14th time.
