Yachtsmen from Kursk Eduard Manuilov and Sergey Nikolaev made their debut at the Russian Sailing Championship in the heavy Finn class. The competition took place in Taganrog

27 yachtsmen took part in the championship. The Kursk team managed to complete all the races, and in the additional competitions in the “Master” category they took 6th and 7th places.

As Eduard Manuilov, President of the Sailing Federation of the Kursk Region, noted, after the first racing day, the debutants from Kursk had to work on their mistakes – the settings of the mast and sails were changed. This bore fruit – they left the start in the top five.

The Kursk residents fought with passion so as not to be last at the finish line, which was noted by experienced yachtsmen. They stated that representatives of the Nightingale region will be able to compete with them in the future
