The national swimming team of the Arkhangelsk region won 80 medals in zonal swims. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports. More than 300 athletes from nine regions of North-West Russia took part in the championship and championship of the Northwestern Federal District of Russia in swimming (25 meters) in the Leningrad region.
Our swimmers from Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Kotlas, Mirny and Koryazhma climbed to the podium of zonal competitions 80 times.
The athletes have 24 gold, 25 silver and 31 bronze medals.
Based on the results of the zonal starts, a team was formed to compete at the Russian Short Course Championships, which will be held in St. Petersburg and the All-Russian Reserve of Russia competitions in Saransk. Five athletes from the Arkhangelsk region fulfilled the standard of the Master of Sports of Russia – Ivan Guryev, Nikita Protasov, Andrey Parikov, Vladimir Maximov and Daria Malkova,” said Irina Suborova, senior coach of the Pomorie Olympic Reserve Sports School.
Vsevolod Babikov, Adelina Gerashchenko, Roman Korelsky, Ksenia Korelskaya, Arina Kotsova, Vladimir Maximov, Anna Minina, Andrey Suetin, Egor Suloev, Daria Borina, Kirill Kovrov, Ivan Guryev, Daniil Pakhomov, Nikita Protasov will perform at the Russian Short Course Swimming Championship and Anfisa Menshikova.
Kristina Moshareva, Daria Malkova, Maria Noritsyna, Andrei Parikov, Ivan Guryev, Kirill Kovrov and Daria Borina will compete for the Reserve of Russia medals.
