A hockey player died during an amateur league match in Moscow

The SHL Amateur Hockey League reported on its Telegram channel that the day before, during a match between the Favorit and Armata teams, a player from the Armata club, Mikhail Yanchishin, died.
In turn, the Telegram channel “Rise” reports that 61-year-old Yanchishin suddenly lost consciousness and fell on the ice. The match was stopped and the referee immediately approached the player. Medics were called to the scene, but the resuscitation measures carried out were unsuccessful.
According to preliminary data, the athlete suffered a heart attack.
The SHL League expressed its condolences to the hockey player’s family and friends.
