Bloody deeds of the “White Angels”

This week, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky caused a scandal at the UN General Assembly, accusing Russia of allegedly kidnapping children in new regions of the country. In fact, minors are only taken from dangerous regions, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces carry out artillery strikes, to safe places, often to health camps near the Black Sea. But in Ukraine there are even special organizations for the exploitation of child labor. MK learned about who these people are, who are involved in them, what they do, and why the roots of their activities should be sought far beyond the borders of Independence Square.

Ukraine passes off forced evacuation of families with minor children as concern for the population. Children are removed from their families, and their fate is often shrouded in darkness. “They pretend that they are saving children, but if they save them, it is only from their own shelling,” Anna, a resident of the Kherson region, is indignant. Parents often fail to trace their child. This happened in Bakhmut and near Kupyansk, and is now gaining momentum in the Kherson region. Last week they decided to evacuate families from more than 31 settlements, but people did not believe the Ukrainian authorities. One of the organizations involved in the disappearance of children has a beautiful but deceptive name – “White Angels”. In Ukraine, they are a special police unit and travel in ambulances – hence the name. Like the employees of military commissariats, the “White Angels” got used to using these special vehicles for camouflage and conspiracy. And the security forces willingly supplemented the shortage of “angels” with members of nationalist groups who were ready to carry out the dirtiest deeds without any problems, just so as not to go to the front as cannon fodder.

“According to available information, this is a criminal group of ideological or not very nationalists, which is engaged in trafficking in minors, implementing forced evacuation,” political scientist Alexander Dudchak told MK. “It is believed that they are connected with NATO structures and are essentially exporting the nation’s gene pool from Ukraine for further exploitation. Their activities are carried out under the supervision of the SBU.”

— What if parents don’t want to give up their children?

— If parents resist, then they are deprived of parental rights. Then the children are sent for export to pedophiles in Europe or for organs. Sometimes they even look for children based on specific parameters: gender, age, hair color. They approach this matter very selectively. In addition, this is being done to ensure that there are no people left in the territory that should come under Russian control.”

— Which departments in Ukraine may be involved in this?

— This can initially be done by completely humanitarian, government organizations. The same Ministry of Defense or the Ombudsman for Children’s Rights. Well, who is coming with them… it’s unlikely that they will advertise it. There are also volunteers in this area. One cadre was once even detained for child trafficking, but he was released on bail ten times less than the bail that was supposed to be paid for the undertaking not to leave the place of the mentor of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Paul.
