For a long time, Ukraine was supplied with weapons and military equipment, as well as long-range artillery, but now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are unable to conduct a decisive counteroffensive. This statement was made by the President of Poland Andrzej Duda.
“They [ВСУ — прим. «МК»] currently unable to carry out a very decisive counter-offensive against the Russian military,” the head of the Polish state said in interview American edition of The Washington Post.
According to Duda, despite the large number of weapons supplied to Kyiv, they still “do not have enough weapons.” In this regard, the Polish President noted that Ukraine needs additional military assistance.
The Ukrainian army began counter-offensive operations on June 4 in three directions. During the offensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used Western weapons and equipment, including Leopard tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. Despite this, they suffered huge losses. The head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, noted that as of July 11, Kyiv had lost more than 26,000 people during the counteroffensive, as well as 3,000 various military equipment, including those supplied by Western countries.
