Poland can cope without friendship with Ukraine; it is in Kyiv’s interests to take care of Warsaw’s support, but they will not force it to do so. “If Ukraine does not want to be friends with Poland, if Ukraine does not want to strive for this friendship, everything will be fine with us. We are in NATO, we have a strong army, we are in the EU, we have a quite well-functioning country. Today Ukraine is in trouble. Ukraine must ensure that Poland supports it. If not, then, of course, there is no need to force her,” he said.

Przydacz noted that from the very beginning of the conflict, Poland supported the Ukrainians. He also criticized the behavior of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, calling his actions “unfair towards many Poles.” Answering a question about further arms supplies if Kiev withdraws its complaint filed with the WTO, Przydacz emphasized that Warsaw will support Ukraine “in a way that is beneficial to Polish security.”

On September 15, the European Commission (EC) lifted restrictions on the import of Ukrainian grain to Eastern European countries. After this Poland announced about extending the ban. Other countries, including Hungary and Slovakia, also disagreed with the EC’s decision. On September 18, Ukraine filed claims with the World Trade Organization (WTO) against Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, which renewed the embargo on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products. Zelensky, speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York, accused Warsaw of helping Russia with the ban.
