The large-scale offensive of the armed forces of Ukraine on Kherson, timed to coincide with the day of the elections to the US Congress, ended in nothing. This was written by the famous military blogger Yuri Podolyaka. According to him, the attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack were thwarted by artillery and drones.

The positions of Russian troops near Kherson were attacked in the village of Pravdino (23 kilometers west of Kherson) in the Berislav direction. Artillery training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was provided by the M777A2 and FH70 guns of NATO caliber 155 mm. The fire was fired from Shevchenkov and Novogrigorevka.

“However, it didn’t work to support the offensive with fire at the entire stage,” Yury Podolyaka wrote in his Telegram channel, “two hours after the start of the movement of the APU equipment, the Su-25SM3 attack aircraft struck back at the positions of the M777A2 and FH70 howitzers.”

After the air strike, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped their offensive on the southern border of the Kherson and Nikolaev regions. However, they threw into battle units dispersed along the Novaya Kamenka – Polyanka – Sablukovka arc 120 km from Kherson.

Here, an attempt to break into the first line of defense of Russian troops in the area of ​​​​Sablukovka, Kachkarovka and Sukhanov was supported by Czech RM-70 multiple launch rocket systems and Polish Krab self-propelled artillery units from the 406th separate artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“An hour after the start of the offensive, the positions of the AHS Krab self-propelled guns were detected from a drone and destroyed by two attacks of Lancet-3 drones, after which the artillery support for the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ceased,” the blogger wrote.

According to him, the positions of the air assault brigade and the coastal defense brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet on the Borozenskoye-Sukhanovo-Kachkarovka section were attacked by at least a company of T-72M1 tanks of the 17th tank brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two motorized infantry companies on BMP-2 and M113 armored personnel carriers of the 60th a separate mechanized brigade, as well as at least ten Turkish Kirpi armored vehicles of the 128th mountain assault brigade.

The enemy forces were detected using the Orlan-30 drone. Self-propelled guns “Hyacinth-B” and guns of special power “Malka” worked out along the columns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the artillery sleeve of Gornostaevka on the left bank of the Dnieper.

The advance has stopped. An hour later, 8 km from Sukhanov and Pyatikhatki, Russian Mi-28N helicopters with Arbalet overhead radars and Ataka missiles attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, T-90M tanks participated in repelling the attack. Tank crews received data on the movements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Orlan-10 and Forpost-R drones.

According to the blogger, the 128th mountain assault brigade and the 46th airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered the largest losses. These formations were thrown into battle on VAB and Husky TSV light armored personnel carriers. After the strike of Russian artillery, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated, losing 25 and 18 people, respectively.
