Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, ruled out holding elections in the country during martial law. He spoke about this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “1 + 1”.
Answering a question about the interpretation of the head of state about the elections in his last interview, Podolyak stressed that Zelensky “talks about it carefully.”
“I can say more sharply (…). This year [выборов] definitely not,” said the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that earlier Zelensky himself said that he did not cling to power and wanted to hold elections. At the same time, before that, he answered that, according to Ukrainian legislation, it is impossible to hold elections during martial law in the country and the continuation of the conflict.
