The West must give Ukraine all the weapons that it has, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said on the air of the telethon.
According to him, Ukraine should receive everything it needs “right here and now,” and not in 2024 or 2025.
“This means that there is no need to tie the construction of a national military-industrial complex to the war in Ukraine – you need to give everything you have,” Podolyak said.
In his opinion, Western countries should reactivate existing stocks or even remove weapons from combat duty.
Earlier, Podolyak, in an interview with the Spanish newspaper 20minutos, said that Ukraine needs to receive 350-450 tanks from the West, as well as long-range missiles.
This week, the Pentagon announced that a new package of US military assistance to Ukraine worth about $2.2 billion will include air defense systems, Hawk air defense systems, missiles for HIMARS MLRS, infantry fighting vehicles, ammunition for Javelin anti-tank missile systems, GLSDB ammunition with a range of up to 150 km and other American-made military equipment.
