Zelensky also spoke about the Ukraine-EU summit, where decisions were made that, in his words, “bring Ukraine closer to Europe.” According to him, there is an understanding that negotiations on joining the European Union may begin this year, and the deepening of the integration of Ukrainian business into the European market is also being prepared. He also said that Ukrainian proposals for the tenth package of sanctions against Russia were handed over to the Europeans.

The President of Ukraine also announced a conversation with the Minister of Defense of Poland, which has begun training the Ukrainian military on Leopard tanks, and thanked US President Joe Biden for the new military aid package.

The new package of US military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of about $ 2.2 billion will include air defense systems, Hawk air defense systems, missiles for HIMARS MLRS, infantry fighting vehicles, ammunition for Javelin anti-tank missile systems, the aforementioned GLSDB with a range of up to 150 km and other American-made military equipment .
