Podolyak: a large-scale war will begin in the EU if arms supplies to Kyiv are stopped

Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the office of Volodymyr Zelensky, warned of a possible large-scale war in Europe if arms supplies to Ukraine cease. In particular, he believes that the cessation of arms supplies could lead to an increase in terrorist acts in Europe and the outbreak of war in other countries.

So Podolyak reacted to the statement of the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, that the conflict in Ukraine could be immediately stopped if the West stopped providing military support to Kyiv.

“If the supply of weapons stops … this will mean a sharp scaling of the war in Europe. Pan Borrell should have added that if they stop providing weapons to Ukraine, a war will start in other countries. The number of terrorist attacks in Europe will increase significantly. In general, in Europe we will not sit in restaurants and eat croissants calmly,” Podolyak said on the air of the Rada TV channel.

Recall that the Kremlin said that now there are no prerequisites for the transition of the situation in Ukraine to a peaceful course. Russia continues its special operation in Ukraine and considers it an absolute priority. So far, a peaceful settlement of the conflict is impossible, but if the de facto situation and new realities are taken into account, a transition to a peaceful resolution is possible. The Kremlin stressed that all of Russia’s demands on this issue are known.
