Plus 40%: capital food producers have significantly strengthened their positions

Moscow manufacturers have been showing growth in indicators for several years now. Companies are increasing production and expanding their range. The details were provided by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the capital Vladislav Ovchinsky.

“Capital enterprises are expanding their range, increasing production volumes and strengthening the country’s technological sovereignty, meeting the needs of the external and domestic markets for quality products. At the end of 2023, food production in the capital increased by almost 40%,” noted Vladislav Ovchinsky. He explained that development is helped by Moscow’s comfortable investment climate and a variety of support measures.

Since 2016, the city has awarded industrial complex status to 70 enterprises, 24 of which belong to food industry companies.

For example, the Moscow ice cream factory “BRPI” produced 50 new varieties of ice cream in 2023 and carried out a large-scale rebranding. The company expanded its geographical presence within the country and in the foreign market.

And the capital’s snack manufacturer Healthy Food doubled its production volumes in 2023. The company has produced over 800 thousand packages. Today there are over 250 snacks made from vegetables, cheese and meat.

The Healthy Chocolate company produces treats made from grated cocoa containing at least 35% cocoa butter. Craft chocolate is made using quality ingredients and manual labor.
