RIA Novosti: more cameras will be installed in Moscow to detect violations
According to information received from the deputy head of the Main Control Directorate of Moscow, Elena Klimenko, in an interview with RIA Novosti, the Moscow Main Control Directorate plans to expand the use of video surveillance, including the use of neural networks. Currently, city video surveillance cameras and other photo and video recording equipment installed on vehicles, such as signal sensors, help to quickly identify signs of violations in the field of land use, landscaping, ecology and other areas.
Elena Klimenko noted that the use of artificial intelligence greatly facilitates the work of controllers, allowing optimization of human and time resources. For example, thanks to cameras and analysis of photo and video materials, an inspector can quickly detect signs of illegal construction, which saves time, increases the coverage of inspected objects and speeds up inspections.
According to Klimenko, the neural network will operate under the control of an inspector, who will ensure constant training of the algorithms, and the neural network will help the controller process large amounts of data to make decisions.
