In Moscow, from May 15, planned shutdowns of hot water will begin to prepare the water supply for the heating season. Work is expected to be completed by September 1st. About it informed Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov.
“Annual planned shutdowns of hot water will begin after the end of the heating season and in preparation for the new one. This is a necessary measure for high-quality hydraulic testing, which makes it possible to identify possible unreliable sections of heating networks and repair them in a timely manner,” he said.
During the work, specialists will check 17,000 km of heating networks and prepare more than 74,000 buildings for the heating season, 34,000 of which are residential. The maximum period for shutting off water will be ten days, the mayor’s office added.
The water shutdown schedule is posted on the website Mos.ru.
