Pistorius explained the absence of Germany in the “coalition” of F-16 suppliers for Ukraine

Germany will not enter the “coalition” of suppliers of F-16 fighters for Ukraine, as it does not have such aircraft, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said.
This is how he reacted to Kyiv’s expectations about Germany’s participation in the “coalition”. According to Pistorius, the Bundeswehr uses Eurofighter and Tornado aircraft, which Ukraine does not request. He also pointed out that supporting the “coalition” in its current form requires resources and cannot be quick.
At the same time, the Minister of Defense noted that Germany continues to support Ukraine in other areas of supply, for example, tanks and air defense systems.
In early June, it became known that most of the inhabitants of Germany negatively perceive the idea of providing supplies of Western fighters to the Kiev regime, this follows from the survey data conducted by the sociological institute infratest dimap commissioned by the ARD media company.
