School No. 1 named after Ivan Dmitrievich Buvaltsev, who headed the local underground district committee during the Great Patriotic War and died at the hands of the Nazis, was repaired in Korenovsk.

According to school director Inna Sedova, the main colors of the renovated building (pistachio, beige and grey) were voted by the children themselves. But not only the facade of the building has changed, all the offices have been renovated inside.

The federal school renovation program helped accomplish this amount of work. Vladimir Nitsun, a member of the expert advisory council under the Committee of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory on construction and housing and communal services, said that the program is very timely for the region.

“We have hundreds of school buildings that have been in operation for decades, and many of them have never been overhauled. Here you need to understand that the overhaul involves simply bringing the object into a normative form, its restoration, and not changing the volume of development. There are several factors that make it possible to determine that a school needs such renovation. In particular – the percentage of wear. And another factor is the ability to carry out repairs during the three-month vacation, ”he said.

It should be noted that School No. 1 is a participant in many national projects. So, for example, in 2020, an educational institution within the framework of the regional project of the Krasnodar Territory “Modern School” received a mobile class with digital laboratories for the implementation of specialized training in biomedical direction.

Last year, the Point of Growth center was opened on the basis of the school with natural science and technology profiles. It allows children to engage in active social activities: children participate in regional forums, international competitions, rallies and other significant events.
