Petr Biryukov: Eight metropolitan streets will be landscaped in the “From Home to Home” format this year

By the end of this year, eight streets of the capital will be landscaped in Moscow in the “From Home to Home” format, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Pyotr Biryukov.
The improvement zone included eight objects – Bratislavskaya, Krasnodonskaya, Zelenodolskaya, Academician Skryabin, Kastanaevskaya, Armavirskaya streets, a section of Dmitrovskoye highway (from Lobnenskaya to Vagonoremontnaya street), part of Novoyasenevsky prospect (from Vilniusskaya street to Novoyasenevskaya bus station).
He explained that the “From Home to Home” format is one of the most important components of the citywide “My District” program. It is aimed at creating comfortable living conditions in all parts of the capital. The works are more local, and are aimed at landscaping the territory from the facade of one building to the facade of another.
The deputy mayor explained that the objects were selected taking into account the time between repairs, traffic intensity, the condition of the roadway and the proximity of important social and other objects.
The authorities of the capital will change the surface of the roadway, equip sidewalks and parking areas, install lights and traffic stops. Trees and shrubs will be planted in late autumn and spring.
“One of the significant components of the From Home to Home format is the construction of new or the transfer of existing ground pedestrian crossings to more convenient places for residents and equipping them with contrast lighting poles,” explained Petr Biryukov.
He also stressed that Moscow is considered one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities for life. The capital has been leading the ratings of Russian cities in terms of the quality of the urban environment for many years.
