Peskov: there is no exact date for the completion of partial mobilization

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the situation with errors in the conduct of partial mobilization is being rectified, but so far “it is premature to draw any conclusions.” He recalled that the process of calling up citizens for partial mobilization in some subjects is still ongoing. According to him, there are no exact deadlines for the completion of mobilization measures.

“We see that the situation has improved in many respects, the necessary lessons are being learned. Let’s wait until she (mobilization.— “b”) will be completed all over the country,” Mr. Peskov said at a press call in response to a question about how satisfied the Kremlin is with the progress of mobilization and the correction of errors.

Formerly head of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrey Kartapolov declaredthat, for various reasons, about 10 thousand mobilized people returned home. According to Mr. Kartapolov, those mistakenly mobilized will continue to be returned. At the same time, in different regions of Russia, those called up for service continue to challenge the decision to mobilize. So, to the courts of the Volgograd region today received 14 administrative claims challenging decisions on mobilization. Governor of the Omsk Region told about cases of delivery of subpoenas to cancer patients and students. He instructed to promptly create a single advisory center for partial mobilization.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that, “unfortunately, there is enough stupidity with partial mobilization.” He urged officials to pay attention to the problems of the mobilized and their families. October 14 he pointed outthat “nonsense” is associated with old forms of accounting that “have not been updated for decades.” Then he said that the mobilization activities will be completed within “approximately two to three weeks.”
