Peskov: the law on electronic subpoenas has not yet been signed by Putin

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the law adopted by the State Duma and the Federation Council, which provides for the creation of a unified register of military records and allows notifying conscripts using electronic summonses, has not yet been submitted for signature by the head of state.

Yesterday, April 11, the State Duma approved the law on the unified register of persons liable for military service, which legalizes electronic summonses. 394 deputies voted for it, one abstained. It is assumed that from the date of receipt of the summons (both in electronic and paper form), a ban on leaving Russia is introduced. Failure to appear without a valid reason after 20 days from the date of receipt of the summons entails a number of restrictive measures. The Federation Council approved the initiative on April 12, the law was supported by 163 senators, one voted against.
