Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Russia will continue to “consult” with the residents of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions about the administrative boundaries in which these regions were annexed to the country. According to him, it “will depend on their will.”

Mr. Peskov added that this is a “clear answer” to the question about the boundaries of the annexed regions. He also declined to comment on whether the Kremlin considers Ukrainian-controlled parts of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to be Russian territory.
“Now I cannot answer your question. Of course, in any case, any configuration will depend only on the will of the people who live in a particular territory,” Dmitry Peskov said when asked about the form of discussing the borders of the annexed regions.
