Negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani will take place on October 10, said the Russian leader’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“On October 10, negotiations will take place. This will be the official visit of Iraqi Prime Minister Sudani. There will be Russian-Iraqi negotiations,” Peskov said.
Communication with the Iraqi Prime Minister will take place in the format of a working breakfast, Peskov clarified. On October 11, Putin and al-Sudani will take part in the plenary session of the Russian Energy Week.
Earlier, it was reported that al-Sudani would make an official visit to Moscow on October 10-11 and meet with Putin, reported Reuters, citing informed sources.
September 23 Iraqi Foreign Ministry reported about the Prime Minister’s imminent visit to Russia. It was clarified that there would be “an opportunity to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two sides in the political and economic fields.”
