The introduction of a monitoring system that will allow Kazakhstan to control the supply chain of goods and prevent circumvention of sanctions against Russia will not affect the bilateral relations between Moscow and Astana, the countries will continue contacts to reduce risks. “It is not news that the countries of the collective West, led by the United States, are exerting open, brutal pressure on a number of states that do not join the illegal restrictions that have been imposed on our country. These states themselves tell us about it. Unfortunately, they have to face such an onslaught. This, of course, requires special attention both on our part and on the part of these states themselves. We continue close contacts with our partners in order to minimize the risks,” he said.

Peskov recalled that Russia and Kazakhstan are allies and “great friends.” “We value and cherish our bilateral relations, and we will develop them further,” the Kremlin spokesman emphasized.
