The situation with floods in Russian regions is “very tense” and requires efforts from all levels of government, said presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov. Vladimir Putin does not plan to visit the affected regions.

Therefore, the situation is very tense, which requires efforts from government officials at all levels to help people,” said a Kremlin representative during a press call.

He assured that Mr. Putin constantly receives information on the situation and “coordinates the work of all branches of government.” “So far there is no exact data about a possible visit (by the president to the affected regions.— “Ъ”) no,” added Dmitry Peskov.

The most difficult situation with floods is observed in the Orenburg region, which, according to assessment regional authorities, faced the largest flood on record.
