Peskov called the death of Russia 24 military correspondent Maksudov a great tragedy

Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov expressed condolences over the death of Rossiya 24 TV channel correspondent Boris Maksudov, who died from wounds received in a drone attack in the Zaporozhye region. Dmitry Peskov called his death a “great tragedy.”

“This is truly a big tragedy. Each time the death of a journalist is a tragedy both for the team and for loved ones. Therefore, we deeply sympathize with the entire staff of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, the entire corps of military officers,” said the presidential press secretary.

The day before Boris Maksudov received shrapnel wounds when a group of Russian journalists, who, according to the Ministry of Defense, were preparing material about the shelling, were attacked by a drone. After this, the correspondent was taken to the Ministry of Defense hospital. It was reported that “there is no threat to his life,” but the next day the correspondent died.

Boris Maksudov has worked on the Rossiya 24 TV channel for the last few years. He has repeatedly reported from hot spots. As reported by VGTRK, the correspondent has been in the Zaporozhye region for the last month. November 18, four days before his death, was his birthday.
