Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin will study the details of what happened at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, where the day before there was a scandal over the placement of Ukrainian flags. At the same time, Peskov added that in any case, now the flag of Ukraine for the Russian authorities is “mainly the flag of the very regime that supports the nationalists and with which we are now at war.”
“I am not inclined to take the media description as a primary source. We still mean to contact the Ministry of Education and find out the circumstances of this situation, and understand what really happened there, ”Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing.
“In any case, now for us it is de facto mainly the flag of the very regime that supports the nationalists and with which we are now fighting, against which we are conducting a special operation,” he added.
Earlier, photos of Ukrainian flags appeared on Telegram channels, which were hung opposite congratulations on the Defender of the Fatherland Day. Later, the RUDN Student Council reported that the flags were hung out as part of the traditional exhibition of fellow countrymen organizations of the university. March 1 at the Ministry of Education and Science reported about the beginning of a service check at the university.
