Named the most dangerous areas for pedestrians in Moscow

Over the past year, about 7.7 thousand traffic accidents were recorded in Moscow. At the same time, road accidents led to the death of 300 people, 8779 people received injuries of varying severity. According to the metropolitan traffic police, the most frequent types of accidents were collisions of vehicles and collisions with pedestrians. In which areas pedestrians most often became victims of road accidents, experts from the Mosanalitika project found out.
The first place in the anti-rating was taken by the Tverskoy district. According to statistics published in the telegram channel “District Analytics of Moscow”, in 2022 there were 53 accidents involving pedestrians in the area. In second place is the Vykhino-Zhulebino district – here pedestrians were injured in 48 accidents. The third place went to the Presnensky district – 43 accidents involving pedestrians per year.
This is followed by South Butovo – 41 accidents, Mozhaysky and Danilovsky – 38 accidents each involving pedestrians, Tagansky and Khoroshevo-Mnevniki – 35 each, Maryino, Otradnoye and Shchukino – 34 traffic accidents each.
Pedestrians can feel safest in Zelenograd, where accidents involving pedestrians were the least frequent.
