Penza athletes joined the reserve of the Russian national track and field athletics team

Competitions of the Championship of Russia in track and field athletics among juniors and juniors under 20 years old were held in the city of Kazan from July 21 to 23.
More than 750 athletes from 67 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the competition.
Angelina Kosynkina and Lilia Zaitseva, representatives of sports school No. 6 of the city of Penza, were part of the combined team of the Penza region.
On the first day of the tournament, Angelina won the silver medal in the 100m with a time of 12.02 seconds.
On the third day, relay races took place – the most spectacular kind of athletics. Lilia and Angelina became bronze medalists, setting an updated regional record, running the relay in 47.11 seconds.
