Today, July 24, Russian Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin and Director of the Department of Physical Education and Mass Sports Maxim Urazov arrived in the capital of Bashkiria on an official visit. They will take part in the opening of the International Summer Games for Deaf Olympics.
The head of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic Ruslan Khabibov announced the visit of distinguished guests in social networks, noting that they would soon open an international tournament together. The competition will be held in Ufa from July 23 to August 2. 743 representatives of France, Spain, USA, Brazil, Iraq, Vietnam, Bahrain, Kenya, Philippines, Turkey, Israel and other countries will take part in the games. The Russian team included 496 athletes.
Participants of the games will compete for medals in 21 deaf sports: shooting, badminton, basketball, athletics, swimming, table tennis, mountain bike, freestyle wrestling, karate, football, volleyball, orienteering, athletics, handball, sambo, bowling, tennis, beach volleyball and other disciplines.
