Sergei does not hide: he no longer dreamed of the title. After all, despite the love of the audience, who have filled the halls at his concerts to capacity for more than thirty years, he was deprived of the attention of officials. Much more often he was pleased with wealthy fans. Once, for example, “Prince Silver” was given a brand new car worth several million rubles.

“Not only did I receive the car, five people received them,” Penkin reveals the secret and lists: Me, Kirkorov, Baskov, Meladze and Urgant. They were given to us on the same day. About ten years ago.

None of the artists refused the brand new car of the German automaker. True, Penkin does not name the Russian oligarch who gave them luxury cars. But he adds: for him such a gift came as a complete surprise.

“I don’t rely on anyone: only on myself,” the artist continues. – It was the only expensive gift in my life.

The artist himself assures that despite receiving the title, he is not going to put an end to his career. Penkin plans to continue to delight viewers with his voice. To do this, he limits himself in many joys.

“I don’t bite seeds and nuts – I can’t, they make me wheeze,” shares Sergei. – I don’t eat ice cream: if I suddenly feel like it, I heat it up in the microwave. I advise everyone not to eat dairy products cold, because this leads to a sore throat. If suddenly you do eat cold milk, you should immediately drink a glass of water so that all this is washed off from the ligaments.
