At the congress of the Moscow Union of Journalists, Pavel Gusev, chairman of the SJM, editor-in-chief of Moskovsky Komsomolets, spoke about the Bastion courses, which prepare journalists to work in dangerous conditions.

Pavel Nikolaevich noted that the profession of a journalist in our time is becoming more and more dangerous, and the threat of international terrorism is increasing. To minimize these risks, courses “Bastion: “Training takes place at the highest level” are organized for correspondents.

Students of the courses, which are conducted with the participation and support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Russian National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other law enforcement agencies, gain knowledge and skills to work in extreme conditions and hot spots. Over the past years, more than 1,000 media representatives have completed training. According to Pavel Gusev, correspondents who have undergone this training know how to behave in crisis situations, and this saves their lives.
