Pavel Gusev at the Congress of Moscow Journalists thanked the military officers

The 9th Congress of the Moscow Union of Journalists is taking place in Moscow, dedicated to the theme: “Victory in the information war depends on everyone.”
Chairman of the SJM, editor-in-chief of MK Pavel Gusev recalled: in recent years, journalists have gone through the most serious challenges. The first big test was the coronavirus pandemic – when media workers, despite the risk of infection, worked in “red zones”, covering the fight of doctors against Covid. Then, for the first time, editorial offices across the country were faced with the need to organize work remotely.
Moving on to modern realities, Pavel Nikolaevich emphasized the importance of the work of military officers – such as Alexander Sladkov, Evgeniy Poddubny, Alexander Kotsyuba, Roman Kosarev and many others:
“Our journalists work in the most difficult conditions on the front line, they are not afraid to fulfill their professional duty, along with the soldiers they experience all the difficulties, covering events directly from the North Military District zone. From them we learn about the exploits of our soldiers.”
The head of the SJM testified that our soldiers treat military officers with great respect.
Pavel Gusev thanked all the journalists who risk their lives to convey the truth about the service of the Russian military on the front line and their exploits, as well as the chief editors of publications who create all the conditions for their correspondents.
The Moscow Union of Journalists is the largest regional association of media workers in Russia, with more than 15 thousand members. These are employees of the editorial offices of newspapers and magazines, radio and television, online editorial offices, news agencies and publishing houses, as well as teachers of journalism departments of Moscow universities: Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, MGIMO, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
