Patrushev: The West directly calls for the liquidation of Russia

The United States and its allies are conducting a large-scale information campaign to discredit Russia. Its goal is the destruction of the statehood of our country. This was announced on Tuesday, March 21, by Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, at a meeting in Ulyanovsk.

“The collective West, led by the United States, has launched a large-scale information campaign to discredit our country, directly calling for the liquidation of Russian statehood,” he stressed.

According to his estimates, the growing information and ideological impact on society within Russia is aimed at destroying spiritual and moral values, family traditions, as well as “reformatting historical memory, splitting society along national, cultural and religious lines.” In addition, the purpose of such activities is to promote terrorism and extremism.

This agenda is supported by “separate extremist “pseudo-political structures”. Their leaders from abroad are calling for a change of power and the division of the country.

According to Patrushev, foreign NGOs and media structures controlled by the West are also used to manipulate the public creation. The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation pointed out that protest and separatist sentiments are fueled by the general supervision of foreign intelligence services. “The organizers of the protest actions, using anonymous channels of messaging systems (Telegram, WhatsApp), are making intensive attempts to destabilize the situation in the Russian regions,” he added.

Foreign propaganda centers are “growing up a network of controlled journalists and so-called bloggers” who slander Russia. Events related to the conduct of a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine are used to whip up “panic and undermine the socio-political situation, undermine the confidence of citizens in the country’s leadership.” These same centers replicate false information about Russia’s actions during the NWO. Through the Internet, they are also trying to call for sabotage, attacks on military and administrative facilities, on transport and social infrastructure, the expert emphasized.
