Rospotrebnadzor in Tuva proposes to conduct a medical examination of livestock breeders due to the detection of foci of brucellosis. A zoonotic infection was detected in 30 contact persons, including 12 children under 17 years of age. This was reported press office government of Tuva.

It is planned to conduct a survey of all those involved in the care of pets at the place of residence of contact persons. According to Tuva veterinary medicine, sick animals were found in 11 places of the republic. The authorities are vaccinating animals.

Brucellosis is a zoonotic infection transmitted from animals to humans. It rarely leads to death, but sometimes causes disability. The infection can affect almost all organs and provoke arthritis, bronchitis, pneumonia, anicteric hepatitis, meningitis, encephalitis and other diseases.
