Patriarch Kirill told why people are “blowing the roof”

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, speaking in the Great Hall of the Philharmonic of St. Petersburg, spoke about the role of art in the spiritual life of a person.
According to him, modern liberalism assumes that a person’s choice is a value, but a person should reflect on the readiness to live according to God’s laws and profess faith everywhere – in politics, business, science and art.
“When sin is dressed in beautiful clothes and there is a mass promotion of it through cinema and literature, people are blown away,” the patriarch noted.
According to him, because of this, people’s family life “cracks”, morality suffers, and the person himself becomes weak and subject to outside influence.
Last fall, Patriarch Kirill said that the Russian Orthodox Church would never recognize the cohabitation of people of the same sex as marriage. For the church, such cohabitation will always be perceived as a special sin.
