I am convinced that the zealous service of his son in the field of Holy Orthodoxy, who firmly and consistently defends the church position in the media space, is also the fruit of the parental care of the deceased,” said Patriarch Kirill in a letter, published on the ROC website.

The murder occurred yesterday, December 29. The body of 90-year-old Roman Legoyda with multiple stab wounds was found by the side of the road near SNT Meshcherino-Churilkovo. According to Kommersant, the person involved in the case is Adam Shcherbakov. He was previously convicted on similar charges. In 2022, the man was recruited into a PMC and took part in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, after which he escaped from the special operation zone.
