Passionate bachata dance: coach from Burundi invites residents of Salekhard to a Latin party

In October last year, in the regional capital on the basis of the sports center “Northern Character”, a dance school “Bachata-dance” was opened, in which a native of Burundi, Prime, teaches. The MK Yamal correspondent attended the class and found out that on Sunday, April 23, there will be a Latin party for those who want to get acquainted with Latin American dances and try their hand at it.

Prime traveled around Russia, lived in many cities, and just over a year ago decided to stay in Salekhard – he liked the city.

“There are kind, helpful people here. When I decided to open a dance school, I did not know where to start. A girl came to the rescue, whom I met when local social activists invited me to a charity event – to conduct a dance master class for children. We looked at several rooms and settled on the “Northern character”, – says our interlocutor.

Now the school has regular students, she is one of them – Anna – told us about the classes. The girl used to live in the Crimea and went to Latin American dances there. According to her, this is an insane boost of energy, relaxation, a great hobby and communication outside of work.

“I have a stressful job, and bachata is a kind of outlet. I was looking for classes in Salekhard, but there was nothing like it here. I learned about Prime and his school from a friend, immediately signed up. After the lesson, fatigue disappears, freshness and lightness appear, as after morning exercises. I go to all classes, I can even postpone work, get free and run to dance, ”Anna shared her impressions.

Prime says that the dance school is more of a hobby for him than a job, the main activity of a man is not related to the section. But he wants as many people as possible to know about bachata, so he decided to hold a Latin party.
