Parents of schoolchildren will be asked which school to choose

Moscow State Pedagogical University announces the start of a study that aims to find out how parents of students in grades 1-9 rate the educational institution their children attend.
The questionnaire is anonymous and posted on the website https://sst.gl/Media1. It contains questions regarding the criteria by which adults chose a school for their children, where they prefer to “teach” children: in a public or private educational institution, how the level of education is assessed, which learning conditions are satisfactory and which are not, for example, a large number additional classes, a good material and technical base of the educational institution, the number of children in the class or the degree of individual attention from teachers, how much money is spent from the family budget on the education of children.
The results of the study should help professionals determine what influences the educational strategies that parents choose for their children. And for adults themselves to understand whether the school where their children study meets educational expectations. The emergence of such a survey, according to representatives of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, is due to the fact that, having plunged into the learning process during the pandemic, modern fathers and mothers have become more involved in the educational needs of children. And they began to look not so much for the ideal school as for the appropriate format of study: family education, mini-schools, online lessons. The usual school format, in their opinion, is increasingly losing out to new educational technologies and flexible approaches that allow, among other things, to take into account the individual characteristics of each child.
