Parents of schoolchildren are invited to meetings with psychologists and speech therapists

The City Psychological and Pedagogical Center of the Department of Education and Science of the capital invites parents of the capital’s schoolchildren to meetings with educational psychologists.

The project is called “Parents’ Living Room”. Moscow psychologists, speech therapists and defectologists will conduct face-to-face and correspondence conversations with mothers and fathers of schoolchildren, and topical issues of the development and upbringing of children are supposed to be discussed, for example, how to captivate a child with studies, how to “discourage” him from gadgets, how to recognize bullying in the classroom and resist him. Also at the meetings it is planned to tell adults about the features of the development of children’s memory, fine motor skills and logical thinking.

To sign up for a meeting within the framework of the “Parents’ Living Room” project, adults need to fill out the form on the website: https://gppc.ru/about/to. By the way, in January, within the framework of such meetings, parents discussed with psychologists more than twenty topics related to the upbringing and formation of the child’s personality.

According to the teacher-psychologist of the City Psychological and Pedagogical Center Ekaterina Maskinskaya, “Parents’ Living Room” is an interactive format of events where parents not only listen to the theoretical part, but can also add their comments and ask questions.

— We try to maintain a relaxed atmosphere so that parents come to visit us and feel at home. We offer parents specific exercises that you can try to perform here and now, and subsequently apply in communication with the child, the specialist clarified.
