American corporation Microsoft released beta version of the Paint graphic editor, which now includes support for transparency and layers. The new preview build of Paint is currently only available to members of the Windows Insider program.
Users can now add, remove and edit layers on images to create more complex digital creations. It is now possible to overlay text, shapes and other image elements on top of each other. To work with layers, you need to click the button on the main toolbar, after which additional elements will appear in the work area in the side panel. Paint also now supports transparency and can open, save and edit PNG files with this feature. When there are multiple layers, removing content on one layer makes the image underneath visible.
Previously Microsoft added Paint features dark theme support, as well as new features including improved zoom controls. Also the company going add new features to Paint based on artificial intelligence, including the ability to generate images based on text descriptions.
