Ozon employee infected with meningococcal infection dies in Yekaterinburg

An employee of the Ozon distribution center, who had previously contracted a meningococcal infection, died in Yekaterinburg. The press service of the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region told Kommersant that research is now underway to determine the cause of death.
Telegram channel Ural Mash reports that a 21-year-old man died from the infection. On June 30, in the hostel where the employees of the distribution center lived, he became ill. Subsequently, an ambulance was called for him, but the doctors allegedly did not have time to save him.
Sverdlovsk Rospotrebnadzor the day before informedthat meningococcal disease was found in seven Ozon employees. A complex of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures was organized at the distribution center of the Koltsovsky logopark.
In the distribution center, all surfaces that could have been in contact with sick people are being treated, and air is being disinfected. Ozon said that a mask regime has been introduced at the warehouse, the temperature of employees at the entrance is measured, and surfaces are treated with an antiseptic.
